BetTips.co.ke earns money through affiliate links: when you join a bookmaker after clicking a link on our site, that operator may pay us a commission. You pay nothing extra for using our link, and the offer you receive is the one set out in the operator's own terms.
Which links are affiliate links
Buttons such as "Visit" or "Get bonus" and any link that passes through a /go/ address on our domain are affiliate links. Links between our own pages, for example to best betting sites or to a guide, are ordinary internal links. How tracking cookies are handled is explained in our note on cookies and data.
How commissions work
Depending on the agreement, an operator may pay a one-off fee per new player who registers and deposits, or a share of the revenue it makes from players we refer. These arrangements are standard in the industry and are what keep our predictions and guides free.
What commissions cannot buy
- A higher score. Ratings follow the published weights on how we rate, where licence and payments carry most of the weight.
- A place in a ranking for a brand that has closed or stopped serving Kenya. Such brands are removed and flagged as not recommended.
- Favourable tips. Predictions are never built around a particular bookmaker's offer.
- Silence about problems. Restrictive bonus rules or regulator action are reported regardless of any deal.
Bookmakers we do not work with
Some brands we review have no commercial relationship with us. We cover them anyway when Kenyan punters search for them, because a review is about the bookmaker, not about our income. The thinking behind the site is set out on our About BetTips.co.ke page.
A note on bonuses
A welcome offer is a marketing tool, not free money. Read the minimum odds, wagering and expiry rules before opting in, and never deposit more than you planned because of a promotion. Betting is for adults 18+ only; see our responsible gambling page for limits and self-exclusion.
Frequently asked questions
Does using your link change my welcome bonus?
No. The operator's terms decide the offer. Our link only records that you came from BetTips.co.ke.
Do you earn more if I lose?
Some revenue share deals are tied to operator revenue, which is why we keep commissions out of ratings and tips and remind readers to bet within limits.
Do you review bookmakers that do not pay you?
Yes. We cover brands that Kenyan readers search for, whether or not we have an agreement with them.
