This privacy policy explains what personal data BetTips.co.ke collects when you visit, why we collect it and what rights you have. We collect as little as possible: we have no user accounts and never ask for payment details. The policy is written with Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019 in mind.
Data we collect
- Technical data. Your IP address, browser type, device and the pages you view, recorded by our hosting server logs and analytics tools.
- Cookies. Small files that remember settings and help us count visits. Some are set by third-party analytics or affiliate tracking services.
- Messages you send. If you email us, we keep your address and message so we can reply and follow up on corrections.
Why we use it
We use technical data to keep the site secure and working, to understand which predictions and guides are useful, and to fix errors. Affiliate cookies tell a bookmaker that a visitor came from our site, which is how we earn commission; they do not give us access to your betting account, deposits or ID. We do not sell personal data.
Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them, although affiliate tracking and some statistics will not. Where a consent banner is shown, you can refuse non-essential cookies.
Sharing and storage
Data may be processed by our hosting, analytics and email providers, some of which store data outside Kenya. We keep server logs and emails only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete them.
Your rights
You may ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it or object to its use. Send the request to [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
Age
The site is for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Policy changes are posted on this page with a new date. For how we treat information more broadly, see our terms of use and the affiliate disclosure.
Frequently asked questions
Do you see my betting account details?
No. Affiliate tracking only tells the bookmaker that you arrived from our site. Your deposits, bets and ID stay with the operator.
Can I use the site with cookies turned off?
Yes. All pages work, but some statistics and affiliate attribution will be missing.
How do I ask you to delete my data?
Email [email protected] with your request. We remove the messages and data we hold that relate to you, except where the law requires us to keep them.
