This 1xBet review answers the Kenyan question directly: 1xBet is a large international bookmaker that serves Kenya through a local site, accepts M-Pesa and Airtel Money, and has had a visible presence here, including a Nairobi betting shop and a 2026 marathon partnership, but we could not confirm the name of its Kenyan licence holder. BetTips.co.ke is an independent review site and has no connection to 1xBet's own customer service. You can reach the operator through the button below.

People searching "1xbet kenya" or "1xbet global" often just want the right site. Use our link rather than mirror domains passed around online. Everything below comes from public sources checked in October 2026: Kenyan news reports, sponsored articles that 1xBet placed in local media, and regulator lists. We did not open or fund an account. Betting is for adults, 18+.

This is the honest part of any 1xBet Kenya review. In July 2019 1xBet was among the operators whose licences were not renewed by the BCLB. Since then the brand has returned to the market: it opened a betting shop in Ngara in 2023, where bets could be placed without registration and winnings collected in cash, and it partnered with the Nairobi City Marathon in 2026. It was not on the April 2025 government list of illegal betting sites that were ordered shut.

What we could not find is a reputable source naming the company that holds the Kenyan licence. Third-party guides mention a local partner but give no verifiable name. Under the Gambling Control Act 2025, foreign operators must be registered in Kenya with a local address, local customer care and a bank account in Kenya that holds player balances, and the Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA), which took over from the BCLB, now licenses operators. Before depositing, open the footer of the site you are on, read the licence line and the company name, and compare them with our licensed betting sites guide. If the footer shows only an offshore licence, think twice.

Mirror domains and "1xbet global"

1xBet is known worldwide for many country sites and mirror addresses. That is why searches like "1xbet global", "1xbet ghana" and "1xbet ph" show up in Kenya too. For a Kenyan player, the risk is landing on a version that does not accept KES, does not offer M-Pesa, or is not covered by Kenyan consumer rules. Use the Kenyan site from our button, and check that prices are in KES and that M-Pesa appears in the cashier.

Sports and live betting

The sportsbook is the brand's strength. It covers football in depth, from the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, the Bundesliga and the Champions League to lower divisions, plus a long list of other sports. Live betting ("1xbet live football", "1x bet live") is a major part of the product, with many in-play markets. Correct score markets are popular in Kenyan searches; our correct score predictions page explains why those odds are high and how rarely they land.

A deep market list helps experienced punters but can overwhelm a beginner. Start with markets you understand, such as 1X2, double chance and over 2.5 goals, and check the how to bet guide if you are new.

The Ngara betting shop

1xBet is one of the few international online brands with a physical outlet in Nairobi. Its shop in Ngara opened in July 2023, and Kenyan press reported that customers could place bets there without registering an online account and collect winnings in cash. For punters who distrust apps, a counter can feel safer, but the same rules apply: keep your betting slip, check the odds printed on it and never hand your phone or M-Pesa PIN to anyone at the counter. Opening hours and products at the shop can change, so confirm them on the official site before you travel.

Who 1xBet suits, and who should skip it

An experienced punter who bets on niche leagues, live markets or less common sports will find more choice at 1xBet than at most local bookmakers. A beginner who wants a simple coupon, a well-known paybill and a clear local licence line will probably be happier with a Kenyan-born brand first, and can return later once the basics are familiar.

Casino and games

1xBet runs a large casino with slots, live dealer tables and crash games. The 1xBet casino page covers how the lobby is organised and the risks of fast games, and we discuss its crash game on the 1xBet Aviator page.

Payments: M-Pesa and Airtel Money

According to 1xBet's own promotional article in Kenyan media, Kenyan users can deposit with M-Pesa and Airtel Money. A paybill number circulates on third-party sites, but we could not confirm it with the operator or a second reputable source, so we do not publish it. Start deposits from the cashier, which shows the business number or sends an STK prompt, and check the recipient name on the M-Pesa confirmation. Details are on the 1xBet paybill page.

Kenyan excise duty applies to deposits and withholding tax to winnings; the operator deducts them automatically. Look at the deposit and withdrawal screens for the current treatment.

App and mobile

The Android app is reported to be an APK downloaded from the 1xBet site rather than from Google Play. That is common in betting, but it means you must be sure the file comes from the official domain. iPhone availability was not confirmed. See the 1xBet app guide for safe installation and permission checks.

Bonuses and promo codes

1xBet is famous for promo code searches, and the internet is full of sites selling or "giving away" codes. We do not publish codes we cannot confirm. Bonus figures for Kenya appeared only in sponsored content, so the facts box shows the offer only when it is verified. Read our 1xBet promo code page for how bonus wagering works.

1xBet pros and cons

ProsCons

M-Pesa and Airtel Money reportedMany mirror domains make phishing easier
Physical presence in NairobiAPK app outside Google Play
Large casino and live casinoComplex bonus terms

Our take

1xBet offers more markets than most Kenyan bookmakers and is clearly active here. The open licence question is why we rate it below the established local brands. If you play, keep balances small, withdraw winnings regularly and compare the alternatives on our betting sites in Kenya list.
