Common sign-up problems
- No SMS code: wait a minute, check the number format, then request it again.
- "Phone already registered": you or someone on that number opened an account before; use password recovery rather than a new account. Multiple accounts break the terms.
- Wrong currency: contact support before depositing.
Set limits before the first bet
A new account is the easiest moment to decide how much you are willing to spend. Pick a weekly figure in KES that you can lose without touching rent, school fees or chama contributions, and look in the profile settings for deposit or session limits. Turn off marketing SMS if promotions tempt you to bet more than planned. Our responsible gambling page lists further tools.
After registration: first deposit
Your account number appears in the profile and cashier. You need it for the paybill, because 22Bet uses the account ID, not your phone, as the M-Pesa account number. Before you take the welcome offer, read the conditions on the 22Bet promo code page, and if you prefer betting on your phone, install the 22Bet app. The full 22Bet Kenya review covers licence and markets.
