Want to follow the steps on the operator site?

Go to BetPawa

The BetPawa app for Kenya is available on Google Play for Android and on the App Store for iPhone, and both store listings are linked from the official betpawa.co.ke site. That makes the betPawa app download simpler than for bookmakers that only offer an APK file. There is also a home-screen web app for phones that cannot spare the storage.

Open betPawa to get the app

Three ways to put betPawa on your phone

OptionWhere it comes fromGood for
Android appGoogle Play, linked from the official siteDaily punters on Android
iPhone appApp Store, linked from the official siteiOS users
Home-screen web appAdded from the browser on betpawa.co.keLow storage, older phones, saving data

Installing betPawa on Android

  1. Open betpawa.co.ke in your browser and scroll to the app links, or use the button above.
  2. Tap the Google Play link. It should open the store listing for the Kenyan betPawa app.
  3. Check the developer name and that the listing links back to betpawa.co.ke.
  4. Tap Install and wait for the download to finish on Wi-Fi or a data bundle.
  5. Open the app and log in with your phone number and PIN, or register.

Because the Android app is on Google Play, there is no need to allow "unknown sources" or side-load anything. If a website or a WhatsApp contact sends you a betPawa APK, that alone is a warning sign.

Getting the betPawa app on iPhone

Follow the App Store link from the official site rather than searching the store, since copycat listings sometimes use similar names. Confirm that the publisher matches betPawa and that the support link goes to the Kenyan site. If the listing does not appear for your Apple ID region, the home-screen web app below is the fallback.

The home-screen web app

BetPawa offers an add-to-home-screen version of its site. In Chrome on Android, open the site, tap the three-dot menu and choose Add to Home screen; in Safari on iPhone, tap Share and then Add to Home Screen. You get an icon that opens betPawa full screen, with no store download and almost no storage used. It runs the same account, wallet and bets as the app. More on low-data use is on the BetPawa lite page.

Why a betPawa APK from a mirror site is risky

  • It may be an old build that no longer logs in or shows wrong odds.
  • Modified files can read SMS messages, including M-Pesa confirmations.
  • Fake login screens can capture your phone number and PIN.
  • There is no reason to take the risk when Google Play carries the real app.

What you can do inside the app

The app mirrors the website: pre-match and live betting, the casino lobby with Aviator, virtual sports, and the wallet. Deposits work through the same M-Pesa or Airtel Money prompt described in our BetPawa deposit guide. Promotions such as the multibet Win Bonus apply the same way in the app and on the site.

Install and login problems

  • Not enough space: clear old media or use the home-screen web app.
  • App not found in the store: use the link on betpawa.co.ke instead of searching.
  • Forgot your PIN: reset it through the forgot PIN option on the official site.
  • App will not load odds: check your data or Wi-Fi, update the app, then clear its cache.
