Looking for the BetPawa paybill number? The official betPawa Kenya deposit page does not print a paybill: you deposit from inside your account and confirm a payment request that pops up on your phone. If betPawa lists a business number for manual payments, it appears in the key facts box below; if that field is blank, use the in-account deposit instead of numbers found on third-party sites.
How to deposit on betPawa with M-Pesa
- Log in on the app or betpawa.co.ke with your phone number and PIN.
- Tap Deposit and choose M-Pesa.
- Enter the amount. The deposit page shows a minimum and a maximum; the minimum is very low.
- Tap Deposit. A payment request to BETPAWA appears on your Safaricom line.
- Enter your M-Pesa PIN and confirm.
- Wait for the M-Pesa SMS and check your betPawa balance.
Check that the prompt names BETPAWA before entering your PIN. A request from any other name is not your deposit.

Depositing with Airtel Money
BetPawa has a separate Airtel Money deposit page. The flow is the same: choose Airtel Money, enter the amount, tap Deposit and approve the prompt with your Airtel Money PIN. This is handy if your betting line is on Airtel, since some Kenyan bookmakers only take M-Pesa.
Why the wallet shows less than you sent
BetPawa's help page explains that a tax deduction applies to deposits and withdrawals under the Gambling Control Act, 2025. The deduction is made automatically, so a deposit lands in the wallet slightly reduced. This is a legal charge, not a hidden fee. Our betting tax guide explains how deposit and winnings taxes work and how to check the current rate.
Withdrawing betPawa winnings
- Open the withdrawal section of your account.
- Choose M-Pesa or Airtel Money; the payout goes to the number registered on the account.
- Enter the amount and read the limits and notes on screen.
- Confirm and wait for the mobile money SMS.
Withdrawal limits, processing times and any charges are shown on the withdrawal screen and in the help pages; check them there, since they can change. A tax deduction also applies at withdrawal.
Deposit not received: what to check
| Problem | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| No prompt on the phone | Weak network or SIM toolkit busy | Wait a minute, then try again with a stable signal |
| Prompt expired | PIN not entered in time | Start a new deposit; no money left your account |
| M-Pesa SMS received, balance unchanged | Delay on the operator side | Wait a few minutes, then contact support with the transaction code |
| Balance slightly lower | Tax deducted on deposit | Normal; see the tax section above |
For unresolved cases, use the channels on our BetPawa customer care page and have the M-Pesa or Airtel Money code ready.
A note on paybill numbers online
Some Kenyan payment directories publish a betPawa paybill. We could not find that number on betPawa's own pages, so we do not repeat it. Sending money to an unverified paybill is risky: if it is wrong, recovering the funds depends on the recipient. The in-account prompt is the safer route, and the M-Pesa betting sites page explains how to verify any paybill before paying.
Only deposit money you can afford to lose. Betting is for adults 18+ only.
