No prediction is ever sure. Tips here are opinions built on form and statistics, so treat them as research, not a promise. 18+.

This page carries our midweek jackpot prediction for the SportPesa Midweek Jackpot: a 1X2 pick for each of its 13 games, with the closest fixtures marked for a double. The midweek card is shorter than the 17-game Mega Jackpot, which makes it the more realistic target for punters on a small weekly budget. We also explain how the Betika midweek card differs, because many Kenyans play both.

Midweek jackpot prediction this week

The picks go up once SportPesa releases the midweek card, normally a few days before the first fixture. Each game shows a main pick; where two outcomes are close we add a cover option. Midweek cards often include cup ties, rotated squads and lower-league fixtures, so team news matters even more than at the weekend.

How the SportPesa Midweek Jackpot works

According to Kenyan press coverage of past winners, the Midweek Jackpot asks for the correct result of 13 matches played in the middle of the week. When someone wins it, the prize resets to a starting pool and then grows each round until it is won again. The line stake, the current pool and any bonus tiers for partial results are set by SportPesa and change over time, so check the current jackpot card and the operator's terms before entering.

Why 13 games change the strategy

Four fewer games than the Mega Jackpot sounds small, but it changes the numbers a lot. A 13-game card has 1,594,323 possible combinations against more than 129 million on a 17-game card. If you are right on two games in three, your chance of a perfect midweek ticket is roughly 1 in 194, compared with about 1 in 980 on a 17-game card at the same hit rate. Still long, but a different order of difficulty.

The shorter card also means each double buys more. Three doubles on 13 games leave only 10 single picks to get right, so careful cover is worth more here than on the Mega.

Midweek-specific risks to watch

  • Squad rotation. Clubs playing at the weekend often rest players on Tuesday or Wednesday. A favourite with five changes is not the same team.
  • Cup ties. Knockout games that end level after 90 minutes count as draws for 1X2 purposes on most jackpot cards. Check the card rules if extra time is involved.
  • Late kick-offs. European midweek games kick off late in the evening in East Africa Time, so line-ups arrive close to the deadline. Place your ticket after the earliest line-ups if the card allows.
  • Thin data. Lower-league sides may have little recent form online. When we cannot form a clear view, we say so and suggest cover rather than guess.

Searches like "Betika midweek jackpot prediction" bring many readers here. We publish Betika picks on the Betika page so each set of picks matches the right card; mixing them up is a common reason tickets fail on the first game.

Are mathematical midweek predictions better?

Some sites sell "mathematical" midweek jackpot predictions built from Poisson goal models or ratings. Statistical models are useful, and we explain how they work on our mathematical predictions page, but they produce probabilities, not certainties. A model that says a home win is 55 percent likely is still wrong 45 percent of the time. No model makes a midweek ticket sure, and paid "sure midweek jackpot" offers should be ignored.

Splitting a weekly budget across midweek and weekend

Many punters play both the Midweek and the Mega Jackpot. If you do, split one weekly amount between them instead of setting two separate budgets. Because the midweek card is shorter, a bigger share of the budget often goes further there: the same number of lines buys more cover on 13 games than on 17. Keep the split fixed for a month before changing it, so one lucky or unlucky round does not decide your plan.

Placing your midweek ticket

  1. Fund your SportPesa account by M-Pesa paybill or STK push; excise duty is deducted on deposit.
  2. Open the jackpot section and choose the Midweek Jackpot card.
  3. Enter one outcome per game, adding doubles only on the games you marked in advance.
  4. Check the total cost on the betslip against your weekly budget and confirm.
  5. Keep the ticket ID; the results page explains how to check it after the last game.

Jackpots are for players aged 18+ only. A small, fixed midweek stake is the sensible way to play; never add money from rent, school fees or a loan app to chase a jackpot.

Frequently asked questions

How many games are on the SportPesa Midweek Jackpot?

It has been run with 13 games according to Kenyan press coverage. Check the current card on SportPesa, since formats can change.

What happens to the midweek pool when nobody wins?

Reports describe a pool that resets to a starting amount after a win and grows each round until someone wins. The current figure is shown on the SportPesa jackpot card.

Is the Betika midweek jackpot the same as SportPesa's?

No. They are separate products with separate cards and rules. Betika's midweek card is shorter than its Grand Jackpot, but the exact number of games should be checked on Betika's site.

How many doubles make sense on a 13-game card?

For most budgets two to four doubles is enough. Four doubles mean 16 lines, so check the total cost before you add more.
