Sat 18:00England Premier LeagueCoventry City vs Sunderland AFC1XA close game on paper, so the double chance covers home advantage and the draw.
France Ligue 1OGC Nice vs Stade Rennais FC1Nice usually play well at home against Rennes, so the home side gets a narrow edge.

Tips are opinions based on form and statistics, never guarantees. Stake only what you can afford to lose. 18+.

Each row shows the fixture, our main pick (1, X or 2) and, for the closest games, a suggested second outcome. Games flagged as bankers are the ones where one side is a clear favourite on form, home record and team news. Games flagged for a double are where our estimated chances for two outcomes sit close together. When the block is empty, SportPesa has not yet released the next card.

How lines and cost add up on a 17-match jackpot slip
Each double or triple multiplies the number of lines, and the cost grows with it.

How the Mega Jackpot card works

According to Kenyan media coverage of past rounds, the SportPesa Mega Jackpot asks you to predict the 1X2 result of 17 matches, usually played over the weekend. A single line covers one outcome per game. Bonuses are reported for tickets a few games short of 17, although outlets disagree on the lowest paying score, and one report says a Mega entry also counts towards smaller sub-tiers. The stake per line, the prize pool and the bonus amounts are set by SportPesa and change from round to round, so check the current jackpot card and SportPesa's terms before you play.

The card often mixes the Premier League with lower English divisions and European leagues that most Kenyan punters rarely follow. That is deliberate: it makes the card hard. Expect at least a handful of games where you have little feel for either team.

Reading the 17 games: bankers, doubles and traps

Type of gameWhat it looks likeHow we treat it
BankerStrong home side against a struggling visitor, no major absencesSingle pick, no cover
BalancedTwo sides close in the table and in recent formMain pick plus a suggested double
Draw-proneLow-scoring teams, cautious away side, derbyDraw considered as the main pick or the cover
TrapBig name away from home after a midweek European gameDowngraded from banker, often doubled

The trap category is where most Kenyan tickets fail. A famous club playing away on Sunday after a Thursday European tie loses more often than its name suggests, and the odds-on favourite on the card can be the worst place to save money.

Building your own ticket step by step

  1. Set your weekly amount first. Decide what you will spend on the Mega Jackpot this round and do not change it after you see the card.
  2. Work out how many lines that buys. Divide your amount by the line stake shown on the card. That number decides how much cover you can afford.
  3. Choose your doubles. With 4 lines you can double two games; with 8 lines, three; with 16 lines, four. A triple uses up three times the lines, so save it for the single most open game.
  4. Fill the rest with single picks. Use our main pick or your own view, but avoid the habit of picking all home wins.
  5. Check the total before you confirm. The SportPesa betslip shows the combination cost. If the total is higher than your weekly amount, remove a double.

You can place the ticket on the site or the app; the SportPesa how-to-play guide covers the jackpot steps on the site and app.

What 17 games mean in numbers

There are 129,140,163 possible result combinations on a 17-game card. If you were right on 70 percent of games, a rate very few tipsters reach over a season, your chance of a perfect ticket would still be about 1 in 430. That is why most realistic targets are the bonus tiers rather than the full jackpot. No source of "accurate" or "sure" Mega Jackpot predictions can change this arithmetic, and anyone selling such tips is making a promise no one can keep.

Fees, tax and getting paid

Deposits into SportPesa are usually made through M-Pesa paybill or an STK push from the site; the number to use is shown in the key facts box on our SportPesa review. Excise duty is deducted from deposits and withholding tax from winnings before payout, so the amount you see in your wallet will differ from what you sent or won. Our betting tax guide explains the mechanism.

Open the SportPesa Mega Jackpot

The Mega Jackpot is for adults 18+ only. Keep it as a fixed weekend expense, and if you notice yourself raising the stake to win back a near miss, step away for a round.

Other jackpots to compare this weekend

If you want a second ticket, the Betika Grand Jackpot also runs on 17 weekend games, so the same reading of form often helps on both cards. For a shorter card in the middle of the week, see our SportPesa Midweek Jackpot predictions.

Frequently asked questions

How many games are on the SportPesa Mega Jackpot?

The Mega Jackpot has been run with 17 games in Kenyan media coverage of recent rounds. Always check the number on the current card, as operators can change formats.

How many correct games do I need for a SportPesa Mega Jackpot bonus?

Reports agree that bonuses pay for nearly-perfect tickets but differ on the lowest qualifying score, so we do not quote one. The exact tiers and amounts are set by SportPesa for each round, so read the bonus table on the jackpot card.

When is the Mega Jackpot card released?

SportPesa usually publishes the card several days before the weekend fixtures. Our predictions appear in the feed on this page once the card is live.

Is there such a thing as a sure Mega Jackpot prediction?

No. A 17-game card has over 129 million possible outcomes. Use predictions as an informed opinion and never pay anyone who promises a certain result.

Can I play the Mega Jackpot by SMS?

We have not confirmed a current SMS route for the Mega Jackpot. Check the SportPesa how-to-play guide and the operator's own help pages before you send anything, and use the site or app if no official SMS format is listed.
