OdiBets is a Kenyan sportsbook run by Kareco Holdings Limited from Parklands, Nairobi, and its footer says it is authorised and regulated by the Gambling Regulatory Authority. This OdiBets review covers the licence, M-Pesa deposits, SMS betting, the jackpots, the lightweight app and the weak spots worth knowing before you stake a shilling. BetTips.co.ke is a separate, independent publisher, not OdiBets: if you only searched "odibets" to reach the official site and log in, use the button below.

How we built this page: in October 2026 we read odibets.com, the OdiBets FAQ, the app download page and the App Store listing, and compared the licence details with a copy of the regulator's register. We did not open an account, deposit or withdraw, so anything that depends on your own account is described from the operator's published terms.
OdiBets review in one minute
OdiBets is designed for the punter who bets small, bets often and does it on a phone with a thin data bundle. Most of what the brand does well comes from that focus: SMS betting, a data-free browsing mode, a tiny Android app and jackpots with low entry stakes. Most of what it does less well comes from the same place: a narrow choice of payment methods and an app that lives outside Google Play.
| What works | What to watch |
|---|---|
| Current licence numbers printed in the footer and matching the regulator register copy | M-Pesa is the only payment method we could confirm on official pages |
| Paybill, STK push and SMS all work for funding and betting | The Android app is a direct APK download, not a Play Store app |
| Several jackpots, from a big weekend card to smaller daily ones | The FAQ mentions a new-customer free bet but does not state the amount |
| Free Mode and a light app for low-data phones | Older licence code still sits in part of the site's code, which can confuse checks |
Is OdiBets legit and licensed in Kenya?
On the evidence we could check, yes. The odibets.com footer names Kareco Holdings Limited and lists a bookmaking licence and a public gaming licence issued under the Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA), the body that replaced the BCLB under the Gambling Control Act, 2025. A copy of the regulator's register lists the same company, trading as OdiBets, with a bookmaking licence, a public gaming licence and a public lottery licence, all shown as renewed for 2025/2026. The numbers appear in the key facts box above.
One detail is worth knowing if you like to verify things yourself. Part of the site's hidden code still carries an older BCLB identifier from before the renewal, while the visible footer and the register agree on the newer number. Trust the footer and the register. And whatever site you land on, scroll to the bottom before you log in: a lookalike page that copies the OdiBets colours will rarely copy a working licence line as well. Our licensed betting sites page explains how to read those footers.
Creating and using an OdiBets account
The OdiBets FAQ describes a short web sign-up: tap Sign Up, enter your Safaricom number, choose a password of at least six characters, then confirm with the PIN that arrives by SMS. You can also register without the internet by texting the word ODI to the OdiBets shortcode shown in the key facts box. Our step-by-step OdiBets registration guide covers both routes and the usual reasons a PIN does not arrive.
Because the account is tied to your phone number, the number you sign up with is also the number that receives withdrawals. Use your own registered line, not a family member's SIM, or you can run into trouble the first time you cash out.
Paybill deposits, STK push and withdrawals
According to the OdiBets FAQ, there are two ways to fund the wallet with M-Pesa. The first is the classic paybill: M-Pesa, Lipa na M-Pesa, Pay Bill and the business number 290680, then the account field (the FAQ says you can type ODI or leave it blank), the amount and your PIN. The second is the Deposit tab on the site or app, which sends a payment prompt straight to your phone so you only enter the PIN.
Withdrawals go back to the registered M-Pesa number, either through Menu and Withdrawal on the site or by sending an SMS in the W#Amount format to the shortcode. The FAQ sets a minimum withdrawal and a maximum payout per ticket, and mobile money charges apply. Kenyan law also takes its share: excise duty is deducted from deposits and withholding tax from winnings, so the wallet can show less than you sent and a payout less than the ticket figure. The operator deducts these automatically; our betting tax guide explains how to read the numbers. For every deposit and withdrawal step in one place, see the OdiBets paybill page.
We found no confirmation of Airtel Money deposits on official pages. If your line is on Airtel, check the deposit screen before relying on it.
Sports markets, live betting and the bet slip
Football is the core, as it is for nearly every Kenyan bookmaker: the English Premier League first, then La Liga, Serie A, the Bundesliga and the Champions League, with Kenya's own top flight on the card when the season is running. Kick-off times on the site follow East Africa Time, which matters for late Champions League games that start close to midnight in Nairobi. A live section lets you bet in play, and the bet slip builds singles and multibets in the usual way.
We did not run a margin study on OdiBets odds, so we will not claim they are the best in Kenya. A habit that costs nothing: before a big EPL weekend multibet, check the same selections on one other bookmaker. Our best odds betting sites page shows how to compare prices quickly.
OdiBets jackpots: Mega, Midweek, Laki Tatu and Omoka
The OdiBets menu lists four jackpots: Omoka JP, Mega JP, Laki Tatu JP and Midweek JP. The site menu does not print the number of games for each. Kenyan press coverage from 2021-2022 described a 17-game Mega Jackpot that also rewarded getting every pick wrong, a 13-game midweek jackpot and a 10-game daily one. Formats change, so open the current jackpot card before you fill it in.
Our OdiBets jackpot predictions page explains how we analyse each card and posts picks when the feed is live. No jackpot pick is ever certain, and long jackpots are lottery-like by design.
Casino, Aviator and OdiLeague virtuals
Beyond football, OdiBets has a casino section, its own OdiLeague virtual football and instant virtual leagues. Aviator is the most promoted casino title on the brand and gets regular free bet campaigns. If crash games are why you are here, read our Aviator on OdiBets page first; it explains how the game works and why any app claiming to predict the next round is a scam. Slots and other games are covered on the OdiBets games and casino page.
App, Free Mode and SMS: betting on little data
This is where OdiBets stands out. The Android app is a small APK downloaded straight from the odibets.com app page and supports older Android versions, and an iOS app is listed on the Kenyan App Store. The site also has a Free Mode for data-free browsing and a lite fallback for slow connections. And if you have no data at all, SMS betting lets you place bets by text. See the OdiBets app download guide, the OdiBets Lite page and the SMS betting guide.
Customer care channels
OdiBets lists a phone line, a WhatsApp contact and a live chat widget on its site. Use only the contacts printed on odibets.com itself: fake "OdiBets agents" on social media ask for M-Pesa PINs or "activation fees", which the real support never needs. Our OdiBets customer care page lists the channels and what to send them.
OdiBets against other Kenyan bookmakers
OdiBets competes with the big local names on jackpots and low-stake betting. Betika and SportPesa have bigger brand recognition and longer jackpot histories; betPawa offers a similar small-stake approach with more payment options; Mozzart has a wider jackpot line-up. The table below ranks the alternatives we currently rate for Kenyan punters.

Verdict: should you bet with OdiBets?
OdiBets is a licensed, locally run bookmaker that makes betting easy on a basic phone, which is exactly why some punters should be careful with it: SMS bets and one-tap STK deposits remove the friction that normally makes you stop and think. If you sign up, set a deposit limit you can live with, keep jackpot stakes small and treat any free bet as a bonus rather than a reason to deposit. Betting is for adults only (18+); if it stops being fun, our responsible gambling page lists where to get help, including the regulator's self-exclusion option.
Frequently asked questions
Is OdiBets a real licensed bookmaker in Kenya?
Yes. Kareco Holdings Limited runs OdiBets and its footer lists GRA bookmaking and public gaming licences; a copy of the regulator register shows the same licences renewed for 2025/2026.
Is BetTips.co.ke the official OdiBets website?
No. We are an independent review site. To log in or deposit, use the official site through the button on this page and always check the licence line in the footer.
Can I use Airtel Money on OdiBets?
Official pages we read only confirm M-Pesa, by paybill or by a payment prompt from the Deposit tab. Check the deposit screen if your line is on Airtel.
Why is my OdiBets payout lower than my ticket shows?
Kenyan withholding tax is deducted from winnings, and mobile money charges apply to withdrawals. The operator handles the tax automatically; check the note on the withdrawal screen.
Does OdiBets have a Play Store app?
We did not find one. Android users install a small APK from the OdiBets app page, and iPhone users can get the app from the Kenyan App Store.
