This SportPesa review starts with the answer most visitors need: SportPesa is a Kenyan sportsbook run by Milestone Games Limited, best known for its 17-game Mega Jackpot, and the SportPesa login, app and cashier all live on the operator's own site, which you reach with the button below. BetTips.co.ke is an independent review site. We are not SportPesa, we cannot open, unlock or reset your account, and we do not accept bets or deposits.

If you only wanted the SportPesa Kenya home page, the button is all you need. If you want to understand how the bookmaker works before you send KES into it, the rest of this page is built from SportPesa's public pages, Kenyan press coverage and court and regulator reports as they stood in October 2026. We did not open or fund an account, so nothing here describes our own bets or withdrawals. Betting is for adults only, 18+.

SportPesa in Kenya: the short version

SportPesa launched in 2014 and is widely described as Kenya's first digital betting company. A High Court judgment affirmed Milestone Games Limited's right to use the SportPesa trademark, which matters because the brand went through years of licence disputes. Today it is one of the most visible names in Kenyan football: since the 2025/26 season it is the title sponsor of the FKF Premier League under a ten-year deal, so the top flight many people still call the KPL now carries the SportPesa name.

Is SportPesa licensed and safe to use?

SportPesa's history is the most complicated of any Kenyan bookmaker. In 2019 its licence was not renewed during the tax stand-off between the government and several operators, and between 2020 and 2022 regulators blocked paybills and shortcodes linked to the brand while the licence fight went through the courts. Business Daily reported in 2022 that the Betting Control and Licensing Board listed Milestone Games as a licensee for that year. Since then the brand has traded openly: weekly jackpots, the league sponsorship and regular coverage in the national press.

Regulation itself is changing. The Gambling Control Act 2025 replaced the old BCLB regime, and the Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA) has taken over licensing. We have not confirmed a current licence number for SportPesa, so we do not print one. Look for it in the footer of the official site, and compare it with the facts box above when it is filled. The licensed betting sites page explains how to read a licence line in a few seconds.

One practical point follows from the paybill history: business numbers attached to SportPesa have changed over the years. Always deposit through the number shown inside your SportPesa cashier, and check that the M-Pesa confirmation names the operator before you bet. Our SportPesa paybill guide walks through it.

SportPesa login and account access

Searches like "sportpesa login" run into the hundreds of thousands a month, and many of them come from people who simply want the right page. Log in on the official site or app with the phone number you registered and your password. If you forgot the password, use the reset option on the login form; the operator sends a code to your registered number. Never type your password into a page you reached from a WhatsApp forward or a pop-up ad, because cloned login pages are a common way to empty wallets. New players can follow our SportPesa registration steps instead.

Mega Jackpot and Midweek Jackpot explained

The jackpots are why most Kenyans know the brand. The SportPesa Mega Jackpot asks you to predict the result of 17 matches, usually weekend fixtures from European leagues, and bonus tiers pay smaller prizes to tickets with fewer correct picks. Outlets report the lowest bonus threshold differently, so check the current card before you play. The Midweek Jackpot uses 13 matches and starts again from a base pool after it is won.

Midweek Jackpot13Midweek cardMidweek Jackpot predictions

Prize amounts move every week, so we never quote them; the live figure is on the jackpot card. Be realistic about the odds: getting 17 out of 17 right is rare, and the people who sell "sure jackpot" tips have no special knowledge. A single cheap ticket bought for fun is a reasonable way to play. Spending the week's money on combinations is not.

Sports betting: today's matches, live and multibets

"SportPesa today matches" is one of the most common searches in the cluster. On the site, the football list is sorted by kick-off in East Africa Time, so there is no need to convert UK kick-off times in your head, including when the clocks change in Europe. Football dominates: the English Premier League first, then La Liga, Serie A, the Bundesliga and the Champions League, with the local league when fixtures are running. Other sports such as basketball and tennis appear too.

Markets go beyond 1X2: double chance, both teams to score, over and under goals and correct score are the ones Kenyan punters use most. If you build multibets, remember that every extra leg multiplies the odds and the chance of losing. Our predictions for today page explains how to read form before you add a game to a slip, and the bet slip guide shows how stakes and returns are calculated.

Casino, Aviator and games

Beyond football, SportPesa has a casino section, and Aviator is part of it; Kenyan media reported a large Aviator win on SportPesa in January 2026. Crash games settle in seconds, which makes them very different from a jackpot ticket you wait on all weekend. Read our SportPesa casino page for how the games area is organised and how to keep sessions short.

Funding and withdrawing at SportPesa

M-Pesa is the main route. You can pay through Lipa na M-Pesa, Pay Bill, with the business number shown in the cashier and your registered phone number as the account, or start the deposit from the site so that an STK prompt appears on your phone. SportPesa also works with Airtel Money under a partnership with Airtel Kenya, which helps players on Airtel lines. Withdrawals go back to the mobile money line on the account.

Kenyan law charges excise duty when you deposit into a betting wallet, and the operator deducts withholding tax from winnings before paying out. Both rules changed in 2025 and again in 2026, so check the tax note on the deposit and withdrawal screens. Our betting tax guide explains the mechanism.

App, mobile site and USSD

The SportPesa app is offered from the operator's own app page. Sources disagree on whether it is listed on Google Play in Kenya, so the safe route is the download link on the official site. Avoid APK files passed around on Telegram or WhatsApp: a modified file can capture your login. SportPesa also launched a USSD channel for customers without internet access, and a mobile site that works in any browser. Full steps are on the SportPesa app page.

Who SportPesa suits

SportPesa fits punters who play a weekly jackpot ticket and bet mostly on football with M-Pesa or Airtel Money. If you mainly want high-volume live betting or the widest choice of markets on niche leagues, compare it with other options on our Kenyan betting sites list first. Whatever you pick, set a weekly budget before the weekend card opens, and use the limits and self-exclusion tools described on our responsible gambling page if betting stops being fun.
