Mines Game Review: How the Mines Casino Game Works

The Mines game is an instant casino game played on a grid of hidden tiles: you choose how many mines are hidden, then open tiles one by one, and each safe tile raises your multiplier until you cash out or hit a mine. Several studios release Mines games; the version most Kenyan punters meet is Spribe's Mines, often placed right next to Aviator in the same lobby. Spribe also makes a Plinko ball-drop game in the same instant format.

Mines rules step by step

  1. Enter your stake in KES.
  2. Choose the number of mines hidden in the grid. More mines means higher multipliers and fewer safe tiles.
  3. Tap a tile. A gem or star means safe and the multiplier rises; a mine ends the round and the stake is lost.
  4. After any safe tile, press cash out to collect stake times the current multiplier.
  5. At the end, the grid reveals where the mines were.

Mine count and risk: how they relate

SettingFirst tileMultiplier per tileTypical feel
Few minesVery likely safeSmall stepsMany small wins, slow growth
Middle rangeUsually safeMedium stepsBalanced risk
Many minesOften a mineLarge jumpsMostly losses, occasional big payout

Each opened tile changes the odds for the next one, because there are fewer safe tiles left among fewer total tiles. The game shows the next multiplier before you tap, so you always know exactly what you are risking.

Is Mines fair?

Spribe's Mines uses a provably fair system: the mine positions are fixed by the server before you tap, and you can verify after the round that they were not moved. The return to player is printed in the rules screen. Fair does not mean favourable; a house edge is built into every multiplier.

Mines strategy: what helps and what does not

  • Helps: deciding a cash-out point, such as two or three safe tiles, before the round.
  • Helps: keeping the same stake and mine count for a whole session, so your results are easy to read.
  • Does not help: patterns such as "always open the corners". Mine positions are random every round.
  • Does not help: raising the mine count after a loss to win it back faster.
"Mines signals", Telegram groups and predictor bots for the Mines game are scams. Nobody outside the provider's server can see where the mines are.

Mines demo before real money

Many casinos let you play Mines with virtual credit. Try a few rounds with different mine counts and note how quickly a high mine count ends in a loss. It is the clearest free lesson on how risk and payout trade off in this game.

Playing Mines at Kenyan betting sites

Mines is common in the crash or casino tab of bookmakers that carry Spribe games. Search for "Mines" in the lobby after logging in, because the tile may sit behind Aviator. Bonus funds often cannot be used on it, so read the terms on our bonuses page. Similar step-by-step games include Chicken Road, and our crash games hub lists the rest. Frequently asked questions

How do you win in the Mines game?

Open safe tiles to raise the multiplier and cash out before you hit a mine. The payout is your stake times the multiplier at cash-out.

Who makes the Mines game?

Several studios make Mines games. Spribe, the maker of Aviator, has one of the most widely carried versions.

How many mines should I choose?

Fewer mines give frequent small wins, more mines give rare large ones. There is no setting with better value, so match it to your stake and patience.

Can Mines be predicted?

No. Mine positions are random each round and fixed on the server. Signal groups and predictor apps are scams.
