By Betlion registration is not possible in Kenya today. The Betlion site stopped working after the brand was acquired by 888Africa in 2023, and in October 2026 betlion.co.ke redirected to an address with no website. Old guides that describe Betlion sign up by SMS or on the web refer to a platform that no longer exists, and any page that lets you "join Betlion" now cannot be verified as genuine.

Clone sign-up pages: how to recognise them
- The address is not betlion.co.ke and the site gives no company or licence details.
- The page asks for your M-Pesa PIN, ID photo or a "registration fee".
- Sign-up links arrive through WhatsApp or Telegram, often with a free bet promise.
- The deposit step sends you to a personal number or an unfamiliar till.
Personal data you give a clone can be reused for SIM swap fraud and loan app scams. If you already entered details on such a page, change any reused password and watch your M-Pesa and bank messages.
Registering with a licensed bookmaker instead

What about an old Betlion account?
If you had a Betlion account, there is nothing to log into and no need to register again. Do not try to reset the password on a lookalike site, because that hands the clone your phone number. Choosing where to register
Before signing up anywhere, check three things: a licence line in the footer naming the company and regulator, a deposit method that shows the bookmaker's name on the M-Pesa confirmation, and published customer care channels.
