Advertiser disclosure: we may earn a commission when you join an operator through links on this page. It never changes our scores. How we make money.
Our Bongobongo review in short: Bongobongo Kenya is a licensed online sportsbook and casino run by Kensen Limited, with sports betting, Aviator, slots, live casino and virtuals, M-Pesa and Airtel Money payments and an Android app downloaded from its own site. BetTips.co.ke is an independent betting information site, not Bongobongo, so if you came here looking for the official login, use the button below. Everything else on this page explains what you get, what is missing and how it compares.

Who is behind Bongobongo Kenya
The site footer names two companies. The Bongobongo brand belongs to Bonmoja Limited, and in Kenya it is operated by Kensen Limited, which holds a BCLB sportsbook licence and a separate casino licence. Both licence numbers are printed in the footer of the official site, and the key facts box below repeats what we have on record. The operator lists an office at Kaka House in Westlands, Nairobi. Outside Kenya the same brand runs in Uganda, Zambia and Tanzania, which explains why some search results show other country domains.
Kenya's regulator is changing: the Gambling Control Act, 2025 replaced the BCLB with the Gambling Regulatory Authority, and existing licences were allowed to run until expiry during the transition. A licence shown in the footer is a good sign, but checking the current regulator list is still worth two minutes.
Is Bongobongo legit?
Based on what the operator publishes, yes, Bongobongo looks like a properly set-up Kenyan operator: named company, licence numbers for both sportsbook and casino, a physical Nairobi address and responsible gaming pages. We did not open an account or test withdrawals, so our view rests on its published terms and help pages, checked on 28 October 2026. Our rating method explains how we weigh those signals.
What you can bet on
| Section | What is there | Our note |
|---|---|---|
| Sports | Pre-match and live betting | Covers the football Kenyans follow, from the EPL to local fixtures when the KPL is running |
| Aviator | Spribe's crash game, with its own menu entry | See our Bongobongo Aviator guide |
| Casino and slots | Slots, instant and crash games | Big lobby, includes Pragmatic Play tournaments |
| Live casino | Dealer tables streamed live | Needs a stable data connection |
| Virtuals | Simulated football and other virtual events | Fast rounds, every few minutes |
| Sports jackpot | Not found in the menu | Use a jackpot bookmaker for weekend multi-game cards |
Live betting and odds
Live betting matters most on weekend evenings, when EPL kick-offs run from mid-afternoon into the late evening EAT and many punters follow games on their phones. Bongobongo offers in-play markets on the main football matches, and the live section updates prices as play goes on. We do not publish odds comparisons for Bongobongo because odds change by the minute; open the same match on two or three sites before a big bet and take the best price. Our live betting sites page explains what to look for.
No jackpot card
The missing jackpot matters in Kenya. If your Saturday ritual is a 17-game card, Bongobongo is not the place for it; see our jackpot predictions hub for the bookmakers that run them. For single bets, accumulators on European football and live betting, the sportsbook covers the basics.
Paying in and cashing out at BongoBongo
Bongobongo's help pages describe two ways to deposit with M-Pesa. The first is the Deposit button on the site, which sends a PIN prompt to your phone. The second is the classic Lipa na M-Pesa route: Pay Bill, the business number shown in the key facts box, and your phone number as the account number. Airtel Money is also listed as a payment method. The minimum deposit is low; the exact figure is in the key facts box.
Two points stand out in the operator's terms. Bongobongo says it charges no fees of its own on deposits or withdrawals, although your mobile money provider may charge its usual fee. And withdrawals go to the registered M-Pesa wallet from the Withdraw option in your profile, usually instantly, with large amounts taking a little longer. Government deductions still apply: excise on money paid in and withholding tax on money won, both handled automatically. Our betting tax guide explains them. Full steps are on the Bongobongo paybill page.
The Bongobongo app
There is an Android app, but it is not in a public store: you download an APK from the official site and allow installs from unknown sources. There is no iPhone app, so iOS users play in the mobile browser. That is normal for Kenyan betting brands, but it means you must be careful to download from the right domain. The Bongobongo app guide covers safe installation.
Bonuses and promotions
When we checked, we did not find a sports welcome bonus on the official pages, despite third-party sites advertising one. What the site does show are casino promotions: a Weekly Win Back that returns a share of weekly net casino losses as free spins or cash every Monday, running until the end of 2026 according to its page, and Pragmatic Play Drops and Wins tournaments. Current offers are summarised on our Bongobongo bonus page.
Registration, SMS and lite access
Bongobongo registration and sign up happen on the website or app with your phone number and a password, followed by an SMS code. We found no published SMS betting shortcode, so you cannot place bets by text message the way some local bookmakers allow. We also found no separate lite site; the mobile site is the lighter option for budget phones.
Customer support
The operator lists phone, email, WhatsApp, Facebook and Telegram as support channels. Use only the contacts on its own contact page; our Bongobongo customer care guide explains what to send for faster help and how fake agents operate.
Strengths and weaknesses
| Good | Could be better |
|---|---|
| Named licensed operator with Nairobi address | No sports jackpot |
| No operator fees on M-Pesa deposits or withdrawals | No iPhone app |
| Wide casino with live dealers and virtuals | No SMS betting shortcode found |
| Airtel Money as well as M-Pesa | No sports welcome bonus seen on the official site |
How Bongobongo compares
Bongobongo is closer to an international-style casino and sportsbook than to the jackpot-first Kenyan model. If you mainly play Aviator, slots or live casino and want simple M-Pesa payments, it is a reasonable choice. If you want jackpots, SMS betting or a lite site, compare the alternatives in our Kenya betting sites ranking.

Is BongoBongo worth it?
Bongobongo publishes the things a careful punter wants to see: who runs it, which licences it holds, where it is based and how payments work. The gaps are product choices rather than red flags. As always, betting and casino play are for adults 18+ only; set a deposit limit before you start and visit our responsible gambling page if it stops being fun.
