We looked for a licensed Zakabet bookmaker in Kenya and did not find one. Here is what the name leads to today and safer options for tips and betting.

Advertiser disclosure: we may earn a commission when you join an operator through links on this page. It never changes our scores. How we make money.

Zakabet is not a licensed bookmaker in Kenya as far as we could find: there is no Zakabet entry on the regulator's register, the zakabet.co.ke address does not load at all, and zakabet.com is now a "free football predictions" page that links to foreign casinos. Our advice is simple: do not deposit money with anything trading as Zakabet. Below we explain what we checked, why people still search for the name, and where to find tips and licensed bookmakers instead.

What we checked about Zakabet in October 2026

zakabet.co.keThe domain does not resolve; there is no site

We did not open an account anywhere under this name, because there was no licensed operator to open one with.

Is Zakabet legit?

Not as a Kenyan bookmaker. To take bets from Kenyans legally, an operator needs a licence from the Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA), which took the BCLB's place under Kenya's new gambling law, and online operators need an online licence on top. A business without a licence cannot be held to Kenyan rules on payouts, complaints or player protection. If someone sends you a Zakabet link, a paybill or an APK, treat it as unverified and do not pay into it.

Why people search for Zakabet

The search terms around Zakabet tell the story. Besides the name itself, people look for "Zakabet GG", "Zakabet banker", "Zakabet BTTS" and "Zakabet double chance". Those are tips markets, not bookmaker features. In other words, many people used Zakabet as a source of football predictions: both teams to score (GG), a single "banker" pick, or double chance selections. The current zakabet.com page continues in that style, but its links go to foreign casinos that are not licensed in Kenya.

If tips are what you are after, you do not need an unlicensed site. Our own prediction pages explain each market and show the daily picks feed, with reasoning and no promises:

Using football tips the sensible way

A good tip is a reasoned opinion, not a promise. Before you act on any prediction, from us or anyone else, check four things. First, the reasoning: does it mention form, injuries, motivation and the venue, or just a team name and odds? Second, the price: a pick at very short odds can still be poor value if the bookmaker's price is lower than the real chance. Third, timing: line-ups come about an hour before kick-off, which in Nairobi is often late evening for European games, and a key absence can change everything. Fourth, your stake: one tip should never be a large share of your weekly budget.

Multibets built from many "safe" tips are where most Kenyan punters lose. Ten selections at low odds look easy, but a single upset ends the ticket. If you combine tips, keep the number of legs small, and check the combined odds against our odds calculator to see how much each extra selection lowers your chance of winning. For broader method, our betting strategy guide covers staking plans and record-keeping.

"Sure tips" pages and the risk they carry

Pages built around words like "sure", "100%" or "fixed" are designed to rank in search and send traffic somewhere else. No football tip is sure: even a heavy favourite in the English Premier League drops points regularly. When a predictions page links to casinos that do not hold a Kenyan licence, the business model is the click, not your result. Warning signs to watch for:

  1. Promises of certain wins or "fixed matches". These are lies; fixed matches sold to the public are a classic scam.
  2. Requests to pay for VIP tips by M-Pesa to a personal number.
  3. Links to bookmakers or casinos with no Kenyan licence in the footer.
  4. No company name, no address, no licence line anywhere on the page.

Already paid money to a "Zakabet"?

If you sent money to a paybill or number presented as Zakabet, stop paying immediately, even if you are told a fee will unlock winnings. Keep the M-Pesa messages and screenshots. Contact Safaricom about the transaction and report the number. Licensed operators answer to the GRA, but an unlicensed one has no regulator to complain to, which is exactly why we recommend licensed bookmakers only.

Licensed alternatives to Zakabet

If you want to bet on the tips you find, use a bookmaker that shows a current licence in its footer and pays out through M-Pesa. The ranked list below includes only operators we found active and licensed in Kenya. Each has its own review on our site with deposits, apps and jackpots explained.

How to check any bookmaker before you deposit

  1. Scroll to the footer: a Kenyan operator names its company and licence numbers.
  2. Check that company against the regulator's list of licensed operators.
  3. Look at the M-Pesa confirmation screen: the business name should match the bookmaker.
  4. Search the brand in Kenyan news. Real operators run jackpots, sponsorships and adverts that get reported.
  5. Avoid APK files from anywhere except the operator's own site.

Five minutes of checks would have shown that Zakabet is not a working Kenyan bookmaker. The same checks protect you with any new name that appears in your WhatsApp groups.

Our verdict on Zakabet

We found no licensed Zakabet bookmaker in Kenya, no working Kenyan site, and a .com domain that now serves tips and offshore casino links. We do not rate it and we do not list it in any of our rankings. Use licensed operators and free, reasoned tips instead. Betting is for adults 18+ only; if you feel you are chasing losses, our responsible gambling page explains self-exclusion and where to get support in Kenya.

Frequently asked questions

Is Zakabet a licensed bookmaker in Kenya?

We found no Zakabet entry on the regulator register copy and no working zakabet.co.ke site. Do not deposit with anything using this name.

What is zakabet.com now?

When we checked, it was a free predictions and sure tips page linking to foreign casinos, not a Kenyan bookmaker.

Where can I find GG and banker tips instead of Zakabet?

Our BTTS, banker and double chance prediction pages explain each market and show daily picks with reasoning. No tip is ever certain.

Is there a Zakabet app or paybill?

We could not verify any. Treat Zakabet APK files or paybill numbers as unsafe.

What should I do if I paid a Zakabet number?

Stop paying, keep your M-Pesa messages and contact Safaricom about the transaction. Never pay a fee to release winnings.

Why is this Zakabet page on a review site at all?

Many Kenyans still search for the name. We publish what we found so that nobody deposits with an unlicensed site by mistake, and we point to licensed options and free tips instead.
