Advertiser disclosure: we may earn a commission when you join an operator through links on this page. It never changes our scores. How we make money.
Is Linebet legit in Kenya? On the evidence we could find, Linebet is an offshore bookmaker with no Kenyan licence, no Kenyan website and no published Kenyan paybill. Secondary sources link the linebet.com brand to a company called ASPRO N.V. and a Curacao licence. A Curacao licence does not allow an operator to take bets from Kenya, so we do not recommend depositing with Linebet and we do not link to it.
This Linebet review explains how we checked, why "unlicensed in Kenya" matters for your M-Pesa money, what to do if you already have an account, and which licensed bookmakers cover the same needs. BetTips.co.ke is an independent tips and reviews site; we did not open a Linebet account. All betting is for adults, 18+.
The facts box above is mostly empty on purpose: we only record facts that an official or reliable source confirms, and for Linebet in Kenya there are very few.
What we checked
| Check | Result for Linebet |
|---|---|
| Kenyan domain (.co.ke) | linebet.co.ke does not resolve |
| BCLB licence | None found |
| Published Kenyan paybill | None from the operator; only promotional pages claim M-Pesa |
| Kenyan company and address | None found |
| Kenyan media coverage | None found |
| April 2025 illegal-sites list | Not listed, which does not mean licensed |
| Licence claimed elsewhere | Curacao, per secondary sources (ASPRO N.V.) |
Compare that with a licensed Kenyan bookmaker, which prints its licence line in the footer, runs a .co.ke or clearly Kenyan site, publishes a paybill in its own name and lists Kenyan customer care. Our how we rate page explains these checks.
Why a licence in Kenya matters
Under the Gambling Control Act 2025, which is moving regulation from the BCLB to the new GRA (Gambling Regulatory Authority), online operators need a Kenyan online licence. Foreign operators must be registered in Kenya with a local address, local customer care and player funds held in a Kenyan bank. Operating without a licence is an offence. In practice this gives you three protections that an offshore site cannot offer:
- A regulator to complain to if a withdrawal is refused or a bet is settled unfairly.
- Player money held locally, not in an overseas account you cannot reach.
- Stable payment routes: licensed paybills are registered to the bookmaker. Kenyan authorities have repeatedly ordered unlicensed operators' paybills to be shut, most recently over 50 sites in April 2025.
Linebet paybill and M-Pesa: the real risk
Many people search for a "linebet paybill number". Linebet does not publish one for Kenya. Offshore sites that accept Kenyan players often route deposits through third-party paybills, payment agents or person-to-person transfers. That creates problems you would never face with a licensed bookmaker:
- The M-Pesa confirmation names a business or person you have never heard of, so you cannot prove who received your money.
- If the route is blocked, deposits in transit can disappear.
- Withdrawals depend on the same agents being available and honest.
- Kenyan tax on deposits and winnings may not be handled, which leaves the problem with you.
If anyone sends you a paybill or phone number "for Linebet deposits" on WhatsApp or Telegram, treat it as a scam risk. Searches for a "linebet whatsapp number" lead to exactly these kinds of contacts.
What Linebet offers elsewhere
The international Linebet site follows a familiar offshore template: a broad sportsbook, a large casino, crash games such as Aviator, live streams and generous-looking bonuses with heavy wagering. None of that is unusual, and all of it is available from licensed Kenyan operators. A big menu is not a reason to give up regulatory protection.
Linebet app, registration and bonus
We explain separately why we do not walk you through installing the Linebet app, why Linebet registration is not something we recommend, and what to think about any Linebet bonus advertised to Kenyans. In short: an APK from an unlicensed operator, a sign-up that hands over your ID and phone number, and a bonus you may never be able to withdraw.
Linebet Aviator and casino
"Linebet aviator" and "linebet casino" are popular searches. Aviator is the same Spribe game on every site that offers it; the difference is who holds your money. If you want Aviator, play it at a licensed operator. Our Aviator sites in Kenya page lists those we have reviewed, and every one of them explains why Aviator predictors and hacks are scams.
Already have a Linebet account?
- Do not deposit more to "unlock" a withdrawal. Requests for fees or extra deposits before a payout are a classic warning sign.
- Withdraw what you can through the method you used to deposit, and keep screenshots of your balance, bets and payment confirmations.
- Do not send ID documents to anyone contacting you through WhatsApp or Telegram.
- If money was taken by a fraudulent agent, report it to Safaricom and the police with the M-Pesa transaction code.
How to check any bookmaker in five minutes
- Scroll to the footer and read the licence line: it should name a Kenyan licence and the company holding it.
- Check the address bar: a licensed brand runs a clearly Kenyan site, usually on .co.ke.
- Find the paybill on the operator's own deposit page, not on a blog or a WhatsApp message.
- Make a small first deposit and read the M-Pesa confirmation: the recipient should be the bookmaker's registered business name.
- Look for Kenyan customer care channels on the official contact page.
Linebet fails the first three checks before you even reach the deposit. Our M-Pesa betting sites page shows how licensed operators handle paybills, and the betting tax guide explains the deductions you should expect to see from a legal operator.
Licensed alternatives to Linebet
If what drew you to Linebet was market depth, an international licensed brand such as 22Bet fits; if it was jackpots and simple M-Pesa banking, SportPesa, Betika or Mozzart do that well. The table shows licensed operators we have reviewed; the full ranking is on best betting sites in Kenya.

Our verdict on Linebet
We cannot recommend Linebet to Kenyan players. We found no Kenyan licence, no Kenyan site and no official paybill, and the law now requires all three. Status can change, and if Linebet obtains a Kenyan licence we will update this page. Until then, use a licensed bookmaker, set a deposit limit, and use BCLB's responsible gambling resources if betting stops being fun.
Frequently asked questions
Is Linebet licensed in Kenya?
We found no BCLB or Kenyan licence for Linebet. Secondary sources link it to a Curacao licence, which does not cover Kenya.
Is Linebet legit?
It runs as an offshore brand. For Kenyan players that means no local regulator, no official paybill and limited recourse, so we do not recommend it.
What is the Linebet paybill number?
Linebet does not publish a Kenyan paybill. Numbers shared on WhatsApp or Telegram for Linebet deposits are a scam risk.
Is Linebet on the BCLB illegal sites list?
It was not on the April 2025 list, but that list was not complete and absence from it does not mean an operator is licensed.
Can I contact Linebet customer care on WhatsApp?
We found no official Kenyan contact channels for Linebet. WhatsApp numbers shared online as Linebet support or deposit agents are a common route for fraud, so do not send money or documents to them.
Which bookmakers can I use instead?
Licensed Kenyan operators such as SportPesa, Betika, Mozzart and betPawa. See our betting sites ranking.
